The Refinement Plan Committee's purpose is to provide insight and input into the Murphy Crossing Refinement Planning area. This is an 80 acre piece of combined commercial and residential land located west of the Bend Parkwayand south of Pinebrook Blvd(Murphy Road) to Ponderosa (China Hat).
The Southwest Bend Neighborhood Association is an active partner in the planning process focusing on livability, buffers and transitions between proposed commercial development and the existing residential areas - and - the desire to see a neighborhood commercial area that opens up new opportunities for local small business to prosper.
SBNA members have expressed that they would like to see sustainable development features, medical offices, local convenience businesses, restaurants, preschool facilities, low income equity ownership residential opportunities, 5 acre combined use park and more that would service south Bend.
