US 97/Cooley Road
The City of Bend and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) are working together to identify an improvement to the intersection of Highway 97 and Cooley Road that will accommodate traffic for the next ten to twenty years. A Stakeholder Sounding Board, composed of business, property and neighborhood interests, and a Steering Committee, composed of representatives from the Bend City Council and the ODOT, will help to develop and evaluate ideas over the next few months. The City plans to select a preferred design concept for the intersection of Highway 97 and Cooley Roadby the end of the calendar year. The project identified through this process will keep traffic moving until longer-term improvements to the Highway 97 corridor are implemented.
