History of Mountain View
The City of Bend first established Neighborhood Associations in
2001 and the Mountain View Neighborhood Association (MVNA) was
formally recognized by the City on February 19, 2003.
Neighborhood
associations are funded by the City, but because they are
volunteer organizations, they rely on dedicated residents to
survive.
The Mountain View Neighborhood Association includes approximately 4111 property tax parcels or approximately 8500 citizens. MVNA includes residents in all types of housing: single family homes, apartments, condos, assisted living, etc.; all are welcome to take an active role as elected officers, board members or members at large.
