General Membership Meeting - March 31, 2005

• Jim Mazziotti, Vice Chair, welcomed everyone and introduced guests: Andrea McCullough, Communications Manager, City of Bend, Diane Ross, Development Coordinator, Bend Neighborhoods & Chair, Southern Crossing Neighborhood Association.

• Jim invited new attendees to complete a membership application and to get involved.

• Jim discussed the last general membership meeting held in October, 2004. He indicated that it seemed many people had issues that concerned them in particular. He suggested that other members in our association and people in the other associations may have the same issues and that everyone can work together to resolve them.

• Jim asked for input from the attendees regarding their concerns and then asked if they would like to get involved to help resolve some of those issues.

• A member of the Real Life Christian Church (across from Mt. View High) volunteered their church for the association to use for their meetings. Also indicated that they are willing to help in anyway possible and said the association just needs to ask.

• Jim advised the people at the meeting that the association is in need of board members and committee volunteers for Land-Use, Database Management, Membership, Communication, Traffic & Safety, Publicity & web.

• Jim informed the group that the city-wide weed pull is coming in June and asked those who wanted to help to please get involved.

• Jim then opened the meeting to general discussions. Several people indicated they were concerned about the traffic flow on 27th and the general traffic safety in the area. Jim said that the association needs to work together with the City of Bend on these issues.

• Jim ended the meeting by asking everyone to please get involved and help make the Mountain View Neighborhood Association the best it can be.
