Parks

Mountain View Neighborhood Association's geography contains the following parks:

  • Al Moody Park - across from Ensworth Elementary School on Daggett Lane
  • East Pilot Butte Park - undeveloped park district land adjacent to Pilot Butte State Park
  • Providence Park - a neighborhood park off Providence Drive in the south east corner of our geography
  • Mountain View Park - a neighborhood park off Conners Drive at the north end of Providence Drive
  • Pine Nursery Park north of Butler Market Road - a community park as yet undeveloped
  • Pine Tree Park - adjacent to Pine Nursery Park - a planned yet undeveloped neighborhood park at the corner of Purcell Boulevard and Butler Market Road

Trails

There are a limited number of trails within MVNA geography due to little vacant land, however Bend Metro Park & Recreation District maintains the following trails:

  • Larkspur Trail - from East Pilot Butte Park south to Highway 20 and continues south
  • North Unit Canal Trail - adjacent to the North Unit Irrigation Canal from Purcell to Deschutes Market Road north of Butler Market Road

Currently there are a number of proposed trails which are either primary trails or connectors:

  • a planned trail from Neff Road at Eastwood to connect with Larkspur Trail at East Pilot Butte Park
  • a proposed trail from Stover Park off Meadow running southeast through Al Moody Park out to Purcell Boulevard
  • a second proposed trail running off the Al Moody Park trail connecting to Bluebird Court
  • a third proposed trail running off the Al Moody Park trail south to Neff Road west of Snowbird Court
  • a planned connector trail running south from Alpenglow Court coming out on Beale Lane going south along the existing connector trail crossing Oakview Drive,  Puffin Drive, Pelican Drive and Starling Drive to Yellow Ribbon Drive
  • a proposed connector trail running south from Spring Creek to Timberline Court.

Questions or comments regarding the Trails should be addressed to Steve Jorgensen, Planning Manager, Bend Metro Park & Recreation District at 541-388-5435 (ext.31) or via email to steve@bendparksandrec.org
